Kashmir Cyclists Launch 4000 Km Ride for Pollution

A cycling trip for a pollution-free India started in Srinagar on January 16th. It’s a long 4000-kilometer ride going all the way to Kanyakumari. A police officer started the event and lots of people are joining in from places like Maharashtra. Some of these cyclists are even in their sixties showing it’s never too late to help out.

The main reason for this bike ride is to tell everyone how important it is to protect our environment and cut down on pollution. One of the older cyclists, Satish Jadhav, really wants every Indian to work towards a cleaner country. He’s also asking younger people to get involved in making the environment better.

This journey covers a huge distance of 4048 kilometers taking them from Kashmir in the north to Kanyakumari in the south. They will see a lot of India and spread the message about the need to keep things clean. This route helps them reach people all over the country getting more folks to think about a better environment.
