Spain Pledges 10 Million to Bolster Lebanese Milit

Spain’s Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares Bueno said they’d give 10 million euros to the Lebanese Armed Forces. This happened when he visited Beirut and met with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun. This money is meant to help the Lebanese military do their job better and shows Spain wants to help Lebanon stay stable and have better security.

Minister Albares Bueno made it clear that Spain really cares about Lebanon’s safety and helping people there. He talked about how Spain is part of the UN peacekeeping force in Lebanon and this new financial help is part of that. The money is supposed to help the Lebanese army be stronger so they can keep things peaceful. It’s a real way of showing Spain’s support.

The 10 million euros is specifically for the Lebanese army which shows they are trying to make the military stronger. Spain has been involved with Lebanon before through the UN peacekeeping force. This aid is seen as a way to help balance things out in a region that’s been dealing with some tension from other countries too.
