Akula Naresh, who is 24 years old from Nagarkurnool District, got a 20-year prison sentence. This happened on Thursday, January 16th, at a court in Hyderabad. He was found guilty of sexually assaulting a minor. The police first filed the case at the Saroornagar station and he was charged under Indian law and the POCSO Act.
Besides the long jail time, Naresh also has to pay money. He was fined Rs 30,000 and also has to give Rs 5,00,000 to the victim as compensation.
