On Friday morning the US military did some strikes at a Houthi military spot in northern Yemen. This place is north of Sanaa the capital city. Houthi TV said the strikes hit a military spot but they didn’t say if anyone got hurt or if anything was damaged. Usually the Houthi group doesn’t share much about losses or injuries.
People living nearby heard loud booms early in the morning from the area of the military spot. These strikes happened while there’s still a conflict going on in Yemen. Houthi forces have been fighting for power for a long time. We don’t know exactly why the strikes happened when they did or why that specific spot was targeted but we do know it’s a Houthi military area.
The Houthi media said the US military did the strikes but didn’t say how they did it or what weapons they used. This means there’s still outside countries involved in the fighting. It’s hard to know how much these strikes affected the Houthis because they don’t like to talk about their losses.
