The Delhi Police stopped a movie screening by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Saturday morning. The movie called “Unbreakable” was about the arrest of AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal. The event was supposed to start at 11:30 am with Kejriwal himself as the main guest. Police said they stopped it because the AAP didn’t get permission to have it.
The AAP says this is political bullying. Kejriwal posted on X saying the ruling BJP is scared of what’s in the film. He asked why they blocked the screening suggesting the film shows the government in a bad light. The documentary’s main focus was on Kejriwal’s arrest which is a big point of disagreement for the AAP.
This all happened in Delhi and shows there’s a lot of political fighting between the AAP and the BJP. The AAP sees this as stopping free speech and misusing power. The police say they were just following the rules about getting permits for public events. This action stopped journalists from seeing the film and made the political disagreement even bigger.
