Israel Strikes Gaza Hard Ahead of Ceasefire, Raising Hostage Fears

Israel Strikes Gaza Hard Ahead of Ceasefire Raisin

Reports say Israel increased their attacks in Gaza right before a ceasefire was supposed to happen. These attacks mostly hit areas where Islamic Jihad operates and the timing made people worried about the hostages there. It seemed like Israel wanted to weaken the group but doing it before the ceasefire could put the hostages in danger.

The attacks got bigger with more bombing and artillery. The Israeli military used different weapons to hit places they thought were related to the militants. It’s not totally clear why they did this right before the ceasefire when it could hurt the hostages but some think they wanted to get more done militarily before it started.

We’re still figuring out what happened because of the attacks. People are worried about the hostages and other innocent people getting hurt. Many are also saying the timing of the attacks could make it harder to have peace and break any trust that might have been there for a ceasefire. We don’t know for sure what will happen with the hostages or the ceasefire yet.
