Gaza Hospital Prepares for Surge of Injured as Cea

Al-Awda Hospital in the Jabaliya refugee camp, North Gaza is getting ready for a lot more patients. A ceasefire is supposed to start Sunday and it might mean a break from the fighting that’s been going on for about 15 months. The hospital thinks hundreds of people who were hurt but couldn’t get help during the fighting that started in October will be coming in. Many people couldn’t leave their homes to find medical help because they were afraid of getting attacked by Israeli forces.

A lot of people got hurt in their homes and couldn’t get out during the worst of the violence so they couldn’t get any medical care. This ceasefire is the first time they might be able to get the medical attention they need. It really shows how much people were affected by not being able to move and being scared of attacks from Israeli forces, making it so they couldn’t get to hospitals.

The fact that the hospital is getting ready like this shows the huge impact of the fighting and how it stopped people from getting basic health care. Now that there is a ceasefire Al-Awda Hospital can help the people who are hurt. This situation really shows how badly people needed medical help after so long being scared to go out because of the Israeli military.
