Delhi Congress Candidate Slams Yogi’s Campaign for ‘Communal Rift’ Before February 5 Election

Delhi Congress Candidate Slams UP CMs Campaign for

Sandeep Dikshit, a Congress candidate running for the New Delhi Assembly, voiced strong disapproval of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s campaigning in Delhi. Dikshit accused Adityanath of trying to divide communities for political gain before the February 5th elections. This criticism follows Adityanath’s launch of 14 public meetings in Delhi, particularly in areas with many voters who originally come from Uttar Pradesh.

Dikshit stated that Adityanath should instead be focusing on promoting growth and progress, not creating conflict between different groups. He believes the Delhi elections should be about addressing actual problems faced by the city’s residents. In his opinion, stirring up division is not the right way to win votes. He stressed that Delhi voters are smart enough to understand these attempts to polarize them, and politicians should focus on fixing everyday issues that affect people.

Adityanath’s campaign strategy is aimed at voters who have moved to Delhi from Uttar Pradesh. These public meetings are seen as an effort to build support for BJP candidates. However, critics like Dikshit do not think this strategy will work. “He comes to Delhi, and he tries to create a communal rift, which is very unfortunate,” Dikshit remarked, expressing his disapproval of the campaign’s nature. The results of the election will show whether this campaign tactic successfully boosts the BJP’s seat count.
