Six Cybercriminals in Jamshedpur Are Arrested for Stealing from Rural Youth
Six people engaged in online fraud have been successfully apprehended by Jamshedpur online Police, who mostly operate in the Chakulia region of East Singhbhum.
JAMSHEDPUR: According to Jamshedpur Rural SP Rishabh Garg, the gang used the NCCRP portal and Prakharpan app to extort money from young people living in rural areas.
Because of the tiny volume of transactions, their activities were mainly ignored.
The gang was mostly active in rural locations, which made it difficult to apprehend them.
Their criminal network spread to other state districts in addition to East Singhbhum.
Thanks to the efforts of the Jamshedpur Cyber Police, the offenders were located and apprehended.
The names of the people that were taken into custody are Jai Sengupta, Ajay Dalai, Sujay Dalai, Rahul Mahato, and Naveen Chandra Mahato.
These online offenders are well-known for their operations around the Chakulia police station.
Several cell phones were found by police among the gang members who had been detained.
The gang has been using the Pratimbim app and the NCCRP portal to deceive young people in rural areas.
The suspects have been arrested and are now in judicial custody.
