Near Soren’s official residence, where he was questioned on Saturday from 7 am to 11 pm, the district administration had enforced prohibitory orders under Section 144, which forbade any form of protest, the carrying of weapons, and public gatherings.
A day after Chief Minister Hemant Soren was questioned by the Directorate of Enforcement for over seven hours regarding a money laundering case, the FIR was filed on Sunday night under sections 188 (disobedience to order by public servant) and 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), among other sections.
Ranchi SP According to Chandan Sinha, “We filed a formal complaint on Sunday after CM Soren was questioned by a duty magistrate who was supervising the law-and-order situation in Ranchi on Saturday. Allegations state that the deployment of the CRPF was not coordinated with the district administration. Additionally, CRPF employees disobeyed prohibitionary orders (CrPC Section 144).
Government of Jharkhand has imposed section 143 and section 188 on BHIM Army and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. To make it easier for the readers to understand section 143 and 188 is bailable and the person/organization can easily get bail by visiting the police station.
