Giridih police recently intercepted a truck carrying five tons of illegally mined coal. The seizure took place near the Open Cast CCL area within the Teteriya forest. Law enforcement responded to a tip that illegal mining activities were occurring in that specific location. According to officials, the coal was being taken directly from a nearby coal mine. Acting on the information, a police team led by SI Buddha Dev located a vehicle filled with coal. The driver could not provide any paperwork showing the coal was acquired legally. “We got word about illegal mining, and we immediately acted,” a police spokesperson explained. The vehicle and its cargo have been impounded at the police station while the investigation continues.
