Ranchi: Albert Nagwar, a Ranchi Police constable, died tragically in a road accident today in Chanho police station area of the district. Albert, about 35 years old constable, was posted at Kanke police station in Ranchi. He had gone to Chanho police station on Tuesday for some police work. While returning he met with an accident. His bike was hit from the front by a speeding Scorpio near Shahi Dhaba in Bijupada Khalari Road of Chanho police station area. The collision was so severe that Albert was thrown from the bike. his motorcycle burst into flames. At the same time, Scorpio also got damaged. After some time, some pedestrians passing by stopped there and then the information was given to the police. On receiving information, police of Chanho police station reached the spot. When I saw, the bike there was completely burnt. Blood soaked constable Albert Nagwar had died.
When his purse was searched, he was identified. He was a resident of Hardag of Khunti and was posted in Kanke police station of Ranchi. Information was also given to his family members. The police have taken Albert’s body into their custody and sent it to RIMS for postmortem. According to the people gathered nearby, the people riding in the Scorpio were also injured. However, no one was found at the incident site. However, the police seized the damaged Scorpio and the burnt bike. Based on the number of the Scorpio, the police started trying to find out the people traveling in it.
