Jharkhand: 7 years relaxation in maximum age limit of Jharkhand Public Service Commission Civil Services Examination
Relaxation of 7 years has been given in the maximum age limit for the Civil Services Examination 2024 conducted by Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC). The cut off of maximum age limit has been kept as August 1, 2017 and minimum as August 1, 2024.
In the Jharkhand Public Service Commission’s Civil Services Examination, there will be a seven-year relaxation (JPSC). For the 11th JPSC exam, the state government will relax the minimum and maximum age limits by seven years. This means that the minimum age for the 11th JPSC exam will be determined from August 1, 2024, and the maximum age will be determined from August 2017, according to this. Everyone will undoubtedly receive a seven-percent discount in this way. It is significant that Hemant Soren, the cabinet meeting’s chair, made the decision on this.
Those who cross the age limit before August 2024 will not be able to sit.
A total of 25 proposals were approved in the meeting held on January 24. During this, the state government admitted that it has been 23 years since the formation of Jharkhand, but till now only 10 examinations have been conducted by JPSC in seven times. Whereas by now 20-22 competitive exams should have been conducted. It is known that according to the examination conduct rules, the cut off date will be 1st August of the year in which the competitive examination will be conducted. Meaning, those students who have crossed the age limit before August 1, 2024, could not appear in the examination.
These guidelines must be followed in order to take the JPSC exam.
Examinees who have been married more than once are ineligible.
Prior to then, candidates could be between the ages of 21 and 35.
For reserved categories, various age relaxations were also offered.
SC, ST, and female students must receive thirty-two percent.
Extremely backward classes must receive 34 percent of the possible points.
36.5 percent of the total required for the backward class
30% of the total required for endangered tribes
40% of the total required for the economically disadvantaged category
