A tragic double shooting in Katrapa village, Nagri, Ranchi, has left two men dead. The incident occurred Tuesday night, and police believe a land dispute may be the reason behind the violence. The victims were identified as Budhram Munda, 32, and his nephew, Manoj Munda, 30, both residents of the same village.
According to reports, Budhram and Manoj Munda were on their way home from a religious event when the shooting happened. Two individuals riding a motorcycle approached them and opened fire, hitting both men in the stomach. Sadly, both Budhram and Manoj succumbed to their injuries.
Following the double murder, local law enforcement has launched a full investigation. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Chandan Sinha has created a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to handle the case. The SIT is headed by the Rural Superintendent of Police, showing the seriousness of the investigation.
The primary focus of the SIT is the possibility of a land dispute. Property disagreements in the Katrapa village area have been a source of tension, and police are exploring if this played a role in the shooting. SSP Chandan Sinha stated that the SIT will investigate all possible angles to find out what happened.
Currently, the police are collecting evidence from the crime scene and talking to potential witnesses. Their goal is to identify the shooters and understand the exact reason behind the attack. Investigators encourage anyone who might have information about the crime to contact them.
The investigation remains active as the authorities work to bring those responsible to justice. The SIT is committed to uncovering all the facts related to this case, from the land dispute to other potential motives. This will hopefully bring closure to the families of Budhram and Manoj Munda.
