Ranchi is set to launch a new digital library, offering free access to a wide range of online resources. Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth announced the project during a recent press conference, highlighting its potential to benefit students, journalists, and the general public. This initiative builds upon the success of the “Namo Book Bank” in Ranchi, which has already collected 360,000 books.
The “Namo Book Bank” has served over 80,000 students from across Jharkhand. Now, the upcoming “Namo e-Library” will expand access to learning materials through a digital platform. This e-library will provide a convenient and accessible way for people to conduct research, study, and explore new subjects.
Sanjay Seth emphasized that the e-library will be available to everyone without any charges. He stated that any student, journalist, or citizen can freely use the digital resources. This commitment to free access ensures that financial constraints do not prevent anyone from benefiting from the e-library’s offerings.
The digital library aims to provide accessible resources for everyone in the community. Regardless of background or financial situation, all will be able to use it. The “Namo e-Library” will provide a valuable tool for promoting education and lifelong learning in the region.
This initiative reflects a commitment to promoting literacy and knowledge-sharing in Jharkhand. By combining the physical book collection of the “Namo Book Bank” with the digital resources of the new e-library, Ranchi is taking significant steps to empower its citizens through education. The project promises to be a valuable asset for the community.
