Nitish Kumar, Live News: Hours after he submitted his resignation as the chief minister of the RJD-JD(U) government, Nitish Kumar took the oath of office as the chief minister of Bihar for the ninth time.
After a meeting of Janata Dal (United) MLAs at his residence on January 28, Nitish Kumar submitted his resignation as the Chief Minister of Bihar, ending days of speculation. This development coincides with the State’s political scene devolving into crisis mode as Nitish Kumar rejoins the Bharatiya Janata Party.
As the Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar made his fifth comeback when he quit the Mahagathbandhan alliance in the State, citing strained ties with the Rashtriya Janata Dal. Samrat Choudhary was elected as the Legislative party leader and Vijay Kumar Sinha as his deputy by the State BJP unit shortly after. Both went to the Raj Bhavan with Mr. Kumar to declare their intention to form the new JD(U)-BJP government in Bihar.
Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, resigned from his position on January 28, 2024, and rejoined the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
People across India have started admiring the quickness of political change that Nitish Kumar has in himself. Some people call him a genius while others call him a “girgit (chamaleon)”. What are your views? Comment below
