Jharkhand: Wednesday holds a lot of weight in the political landscape of Jharkhand. Hemant Soren, the chief minister, is meeting with the Enforcement Directorate today after becoming involved in the purported land scam. Jharkhand might elect a new Chief Minister in the event of an arrest.
Following Monday’s ED raid on the Chief Minister’s Delhi residence and the CM’s 40-hour “missing” period, the political climate has heated up. According to the ED, during the raid, cash valued at Rs 36 lakh was also taken from Soren’s residence. Following ED’s assertion, there has also been talk of Soren’s possible arrest.
On Tuesday afternoon and again in the late evening, Chief Minister Hemant Soren met with the MLAs of the alliance parties. Kalpana Soren, the spouse of MLA Hemant Soren, was also present at the meeting. It’s thought that Hemant Soren can designate his wife Kalpana as the CM in the event of a crisis. It won’t be simple for them to accomplish this, though. Sita Soren, Hemant Soren’s sister-in-law, disagrees with him regarding Kalpana’s name. Hemant Soren is afraid of rebellion within the family in this situation, but he is also concerned about being arrested.

ED raided the house (of Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren) without any notice. Every party needs to have a contingency plan. For more than three years, they have been attempting to bring down this government. ED and CBI have been engaged in these actions, so you either surrender or face the consequences. That’s why every party needs to be prepared for whatever situation arises
