Sahibganj Police in Jharkhand recently arrested two people traffickers from Delhi who were allegedly involved in the exploitation of twenty girls. In the Jharkhand High Court, the division bench of Justices SN Prasad and Navneet Kumar heard the petition of the accused, Kuldev Sah, on Tuesday.

The court has ordered the state government to provide a response regarding the efforts made to find the two missing children in this case after the hearing. The following hearing has been set for February 19 by the court.

The investigating officer gave the court an update on the ongoing search for the missing children during the hearing. The court expressed confidence that the two missing children would be found and underlined the importance of carrying out the search. The investigating officer told the court that 20 girls had been found from different parts of Delhi by a research team led by Sahibganj SP. Of these, four are adults and sixteen are minors.

For background, complainant M. Hembram filed a formal complaint in Sahibganj Court in 2022 against Kuldev and Veeren Sah for the trafficking of his son, who had been missing since 2018. These worried parties have now petitioned the Jharkhand High Court in an attempt to get justice and intervention in the case. On February 19, the court sessions will recommence, providing insight into the ongoing efforts to resolve this upsetting case.
