XLRI has traditionally kept the cutoff lower for female candidates to encourage women in education. The cutoff is also lower for non-engineering candidates and candidates from underrepresented communities to promote diversity.
Around 2200-2800 candidates will be invited for interviews for admission to XLRI. The interviews for the PGDM-GM program are in the final stages. The cutoff for programs such as IEV and double master’s programs will be decided later in consultation with the program that addresses the specific needs of the program.
The XAT cutoff for XLRI admission is based on several factors. The three main determining factors are the number of candidates who appear for the XAT exam that year, the difficulty level of the XAT question paper, and the number of seats available. The top scorers will be selected for admission to XLRI.
Although one of the oldest competitive exams in the country, XAT has always kept pace with the state-of-the-art testing methodology. The XAT’s multidimensional testing framework attempts to meaningfully assess the eligibility of candidates for business management education.
