The Giridih Police have unearthed an illegal English liquor factory. On the instructions of SP Deepak Sharma, a police team led by trainee DSP-cum-Jamua police station in-charge Neelam Kujur raided the factory.
The police team raided an illegal English liquor factory in Kodwari village under Ghorathamba OP area. The factory is located in a dense forest on the border of Kodarma district. A raid was conducted at the house of Dhaneshwar Rai, son of Manger Rai.
During the raid, six gallons of spirit, fourteen filled bottles of McDowell’s brand and five filled bottles of Imperial Blue, seventeen sacks containing about a thousand empty bottles, eight empty gallons, about five hundred pieces of RS Coke, about five hundred pieces of IB Coke, and a five hundred liter water tank were seized.
The police have arrested the accused Dhaneshwar Rai and are interrogating him. The police are also investigating the matter to find out the source of the spirit and the network of the illegal liquor factory.
