Bokaro: A goods train collided with a coal-laden truck standing near the railway check post at CCL Kathara Washery, Bokaro, Jharkhand, India on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. The truck was badly damaged in the accident. Three bogies of the goods train were also derailed. The truck driver jumped out of the truck and saved his life.
After getting information about the incident, CCL cell officials, local police station in-charge and railway department officials reached the spot. The truck driver and owner alleged that CCL Kathara Washery management had not put up any barriers and no warning was given through any means.
The accident disrupted rail traffic for several hours. The railway department is investigating the matter.
