Flight 6E 449, which was en route to Mumbai, had to make an emergency landing at the Delhi airport, resulting in a tense situation for the passengers. Passengers were alarmed when the incident happened as a result of technical problems on board the plane. The IndiGo plane that was headed for Mumbai made a precautionary landing back in the nation’s capital on Friday morning, citing a “momentary foul smell” as the cause.
There was bad air quality inside the cabin for the whole thirty-minute suffering that passengers went through. Many travellers reported feeling uneasy and asked the cabin staff for help. But some travellers said they encountered resistance when they asked questions.
The passengers were uneasy because they didn’t know what to expect from the sudden emergency landing. The passengers’ discomfort due to the poor quality of the air was compounded by the crew’s constant attempts to resolve the technical issues.
In spite of the difficulties, the crew successfully landed the plane at Delhi Airport, guaranteeing the safety of every passenger. According to Indigo Airlines, an investigation has started to determine the root of the technical problems and guarantee the security of upcoming flights.
Once they had safely landed, the passengers expressed relief and gratitude for the crew’s efforts in managing the situation. Further investigation into the incident is necessary, though, because concerns about the air quality and communication with the cabin crew during the difficult situation still exist.
