According to police reports, the tourist died during her paragliding session after the pilot at the facility neglected to properly fasten her safety belt, causing her to fall from a significant height.

The tourism officer, Sunaina Sharma, stated that the equipment utilized was approved and the pilot was registered, blaming the tragedy on carelessness in ensuring the tourist’s safety.
Tourism officer Kullu Sunaina Sharma told PTI that preliminary findings indicate that “human error” may have caused the regrettable mishap. She said there were no weather-related concerns, the site and equipment were approved, and the pilot was registered.
According to PTI, the body was given to the family members for last rites following a postmortem at Regional Hospital Kullu.
Further, Torul S. Raveesh, the Kullu district collector, has called for a magistrate inquiry into the incident. At Patlikuhal Police Station, a formal complaint has been filed in accordance with sections 336 and 334 of the IPC.
In the wake of the accident, paragliding has been completely banned in the Dobhi village of Kullu.
