Amidst the ongoing Jharkhand cabinet expansion, Chief Minister Champai Soren has been asked to appoint a Dalit, a Muslim, and a backward person as Deputy Chief Minister by Kashif Raza, the state president of the Azad Samaj Party Jharkhand.

According to Kashif Raza, the movement that gave rise to Jharkhand Mukti Morcha’s ideology is what made the party possible. If Muslims, Dalits, tribal people, and members of the underprivileged classes do not receive equal representation, it will be evidence that the party has lost sight of its basic principles.

He said that in the last 23 years in Jharkhand, neither did every community get representation in proportion to their population nor did the development of tribals, Dalits, Muslims and backward classes take place, the situation remains the same, more than 90% of the population of Jharkhand is till date fighting for their rights and entitlements.

He also said that Azad Samaj Party is struggling to provide representation to every society at every level and in proportion to their population and to achieve this objective, the party is making the youth and women of Jharkhand aware and giving them political representation.
