Eight Congress MLAs, upset that they were not appointed as cabinet ministers in Champai Soren’s government, traveled to Delhi. There’s ‘khichdi’ being cooked there, after all. Jharkhandis are discussing this topic in a variety of ways. The question now is whether or not all of the former Congress ministers will lose their positions or whether or not all of the MLAs will be persuaded.

Media reports state that Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge is aware of the MLAs’ discontent as well. He has delegated to certain party strategists the task of persuading the MLAs. Ghulam Ahmed Mir, the Jharkhand chief, is crucial to this. General Secretary of the Congress Organization, KC Venugopal, has taken an active stance on this matter.
