Plane Crash in Kazakhstan Kills Dozens After Rerouting Due to Fog

A plane crashed near Aktau, Kazakhstan, reportedly killing dozens, with six possible survivors, according to the country’s emergency ministry. The Azerbaijan Airlines flight was traveling from Baku, Azerbaijan to Grozny, Russia but rerouted due to dense fog.

Footage shows the plane plunging before becoming a fireball upon impact. Emergency services extinguished the flames at the crash site.
