The group questioned the driver, named Arjun, about why he was wearing the Santa suit and not clothing associated with Hindu festivals and demanded that he remove it immediately. The driver explained that he was required to wear the costume for marketing purposes and would face penalties from Zomato if he didn’t.
Despite the driver’s explanation, the group insisted that he remove the Santa suit, instructing him to wear it only when making deliveries and then take it off afterward. The incident has sparked a controversy.
