The Urdu Development Organisation asked Prime Minister Modi to give Sir Syed Ahmad Khan the Bharat Ratna award. This is India’s top honor for regular people you know the highest one. Dr. Syed Ahmad Khan the UDO president said Sir Syed did a lot for education and changed society a lot. He compared it to Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya who got the same award before. They think giving this award to Sir Syed would be right because he was super important for India’s progress like they should be recognizing him.
Dr. Khan said both Sir Syed and Pandit Malaviya did so much for the country. Pandit Malaviya got the Bharat Ratna for his work with Banaras Hindu University and the freedom movement. Sir Syed’s college now Aligarh Muslim University was just as good maybe better especially in spreading modern education, science, and thinking things out properly. The college started in 1875 when there was a lot of ignorance and bad stuff happening.
Dr. Khan believes giving Sir Syed Ahmad Khan the Bharat Ratna would make India proud and it would show that his work matters. It would push others to value education and fixing society. He really wants the government to say yes because it’s important for India’s future and to make sure everyone respects each other given how much Sir Syed helped with education.
