T.S. Singhdeo a senior politician said the GST tax system in India isn’t fair to everyone. He thinks it helps rich people more than people with less money. He said this at a press meeting in Bhopal and feels the current tax idea of “one nation one tax” actually works for the benefit of a few rich people. He also said that average people are having a hard time with their money because of this system, while rich people get even richer.
Singhdeo believes the GST makes the money gap between rich and poor bigger. He says that instead of giving everyone equal taxes the system is making things more unequal. He feels like the way taxes are set up benefits the rich and hurts regular folks. He called it a system made “of the selected rich by the rich and for the rich”. He’s concerned about how the tax system is affecting how people live in the country.
His comments were made in Bhopal but the issues he raised are a national problem because the GST system is used all over India. Singhdeo is saying the current government’s tax system isn’t fair for everyone as it claims to be. He feels it’s giving advantages to those who already have a lot of money.
