A court in Hyderabad gave Enkepally Mahalaxmi and Pothuganti Srikanth Reddy life sentences for killing Laxmi’s son Avinash who was only a year and a half old. They did this back on June 19 2014 because they thought the little boy would get in the way of their relationship. The court also fined them each 5000 rupees.
Laxmi had run away from her husband’s house with Srikanth before this happened. It seemed like they planned everything to get rid of the child who they saw as a problem for them being together. They were both there in court while the case was going on and the evidence showed that they were guilty which is why they got these long prison sentences.
