The Indian National Congress is getting ready for a political push in Madhya Pradesh. On January 27th, some big names like Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge are heading to Mhow it’s where B.R. Ambedkar was born. This trip is to kick off their new campaign “Jai Babu Jai Bhim Jai Samvidhan”.
Basically this whole thing is because of a recent back and forth between the Congress and BJP about B.R. Ambedkar. The Congress guys are going to Mhow to make a point. They want to show that they’re all about sticking to the constitution and respecting Ambedkar’s work. It feels like they’re trying to say the BJP isn’t doing the same thing.
The Congress party plans to use this campaign to challenge the BJP party hoping to get more support. They think that what Amit Shah said shows the BJP doesn’t care about the Constitution. By gathering at Mhow which has significant symbolic weight and with leaders like Gandhi and Kharge this is a big move to get the country to pay attention and listen to their message.
