Laurene Powell Jobs went to Prayagraj in India for the Maha Kumbh festival. This big Hindu event started on Monday January 13th and she’s expected to take a dip in the Ganges River. She arrived at her camp on Sunday and got a nice welcome with trumpets and tea.
Before going to the festival area she gave some offerings. People saw her wearing a traditional peach-yellow outfit, a special thread on her arm, and a beaded necklace showing she respects the local ways. Her visit is part of all the rituals that people follow during the Maha Kumbh.
The Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj is a huge event where lots of people come to do religious things. It’s a really important spiritual gathering. Laurene Powell Jobs being there shows she’s interested in different cultures and traditions. She made offerings before entering the main area and will participate in taking a holy dip in the Ganges.
