Starting Tuesday January 14th Saudi Arabia will require all Indian people applying for work visas to have their professional and school qualifications checked first. This is a change from a plan six months ago that only focused on 19 specific jobs like electricians and plumbers. Now everyone applying for a work visa from India no matter the job has to go through this check.
The Saudi government is making this a rule for all Indian people looking for a work visa. They want to make sure all qualifications are real to help prevent fraud. The Saudi embassy in India sent out a notice about this new step saying it’s needed to help raise standards for workers from other countries.
So if you’re from India and want a work visa for Saudi Arabia you’ll now have to get your education and work experience checked first. This has to happen before you get a work visa and it starts on January 14th. It’s a new step to get a job there.
