Kerala BJP Leader Faces Police Case Over AntiMusli

On January 11th the police in Erattupetta India started a case against BJP leader P.C. George. This happened because he is accused of making anti-Muslim statements on a TV show. The case began after the Muslim Youth League said he used words that could cause religious problems.

After that complaint the Welfare Party of India also filed about 50 more complaints against George. The Social Democratic Party of India also made complaints too. This shows that a lot of groups were worried about what George said on TV.

The police are looking into it because many people have said George should be arrested. They think he tried to make people angry and start fights between religions. They will now try to find out if his words broke any laws about hate speech.
