Telangana MLA Demands Higher Farmer Payments, Challenges Chief Minister to Debate

Telangana MLA Demands Higher Farmer Payments Chall

Harish Rao a BRS MLA in Telangana spoke to farmers on Sunday. He told them they should ask for more money under the Rythu Bharosa scheme. He thinks they deserve 15000 rupees per acre not what they get now. He made this call because farmers aren’t happy with how things are going right now.

Rao said he’s seen how much farmers are struggling when he visits their areas. He also asked if the Congress party has done anything they promised before the election. He pointed out that leaders like Revanth Reddy and Rahul Gandhi made promises. He wants to hold the government accountable for what they said they would do.

This challenge from Rao shows there’s still a lot of tension between his party and the current government. By asking for a debate he’s showing that BRS wants to keep a close eye on things particularly when it comes to farmers. It also seems like he’s trying to get farmers on his side to push back against the government.
