On Tuesday January 14th a BRS MLA named Harish Rao was put under house arrest in Hyderabad by the police. This happened just a day after another BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy was also detained after a reported argument with a Congress MLA at a meeting. The reasons why Harish Rao was placed under house arrest aren’t totally clear yet but it seems like it might be related to the earlier arrest and some political tension.
There were lots of police outside Harish Rao’s house in Hyderabad and you could see it in videos online. A police official named Ramana Goud confirmed that Harish Rao was ordered to stay home. This action against a big member of the BRS party is the newest thing to happen after they detained another party member.
