BCCI Mulls Salary Cuts for Underperforming Indian Cricketers After Series Losses

BCCI Mulls Salary Cuts for Underperforming Indian

The Board of Control for Cricket in India or BCCI is thinking about cutting salaries for players who don’t play well. This idea came up at a meeting with important people like Ajit Agarkar, the head selector, Rohit Sharma, the team captain, and Gautam Gambhir, the coach. They talked because India didn’t do great in the recent series against Australia.

India lost to Australia 3-1 in that series. Before that, they also lost to New Zealand 3-0 when playing at home. These losses in a row have really hurt India’s place in international cricket.

Because of these losses, India didn’t even make it to the World Test Championship. The BCCI now thinks cutting salaries might push players to perform better. It’s a way to get the team back on track after not doing well lately.
