A police officer named Jayaprakash, who is a head constable in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, hit a pedestrian named Mohanraj. This happened on a road while Mohanraj was walking across it using his phone. Jayaprakash was riding a motorcycle without a helmet and got mad at Mohanraj for being on his phone while walking.
After stopping his bike near Mohanraj, the police officer slapped him. The whole thing was caught on a security camera and the video is now public. It happened in a public area and no one else was around except for the officer and the pedestrian.
The police officer seemed angry that Mohanraj was on his phone while crossing the road. Even though the officer wasn’t following traffic rules himself, he reacted by hitting Mohanraj.
