Gaza Activist Launches “Gaza Cola” to Rebuild Destroyed Hospital

Osama Qashoo a 43 year old Palestinian activist made Gaza Cola to raise money to rebuild al-Karama Hospital in northern Gaza the hospital was destroyed by Israeli airstrikes. This project is meant to help with the damage and the medical needs in Gaza by using sales to fund rebuilding efforts. The can is red has the Palestinian flag Arabic writing and a design like a keffiyeh showing its connection to Palestine.

Gaza Cola is being sold to fix the harm done by the airstrikes that hurt hospitals in Gaza. Qashoo started this to help the Palestinian people. You can buy a 24 pack for €30 or a 6 pack for €12 and people are already buying it with over 500000 cans sold so far. The money from these sales is going straight to fixing the medical facilities and helping Palestinians affected by the damage.

This is a great example of using activism and business together the soda does two things it helps people and it also sends a message. This drink is a way for people to show they stand with Palestinians and to help them financially. Qashoo is fixing problems caused by the airstrikes while making a product that shows Palestinian identity by making a product that both helps and represents something he’s showing a smart type of protest.
