UGC NET Exam Date Shifted in Tamil Nadu Due to Pongal, Makar Sankranti Festivals

The National Testing Agency moved the UGC NET exam date originally set for January 15th 2025. This was done because that day is when people celebrate Makar Sankranti and Pongal. The NTA decided it was best to change the date so that students could take the test without any issues during the holidays.

Now the exam that was planned for January 15th is split across two days. Part of the exam will be on January 21st from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The rest will be on January 27th from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This change lets everyone take the test at a time that doesn’t clash with the festivals.

The NTA is the group that runs these big tests. They announced the new dates for the UGC NET exam. If you were going to take the test on January 15th you need to know that it’s now on January 21st or 27th. This gives students some new timing for their test and makes sure it doesn’t happen during a holiday.
