Jharkhand’s tribal communities are outraged by the incident, and many have expressed dissatisfaction with both the Modi government and Sudhir Chaudhary. The Jharkhand police are looking into the situation more. Keep checking back for updates on this evolving narrative.

Why people of Jharkhand wants Sudhir Chaudhary’s arrest?

On January 31, the day Soren was taken into custody by the Enforcement Directorate, Chaudhary stated on his primetime show Black and White that Soren and his family were not “Adivasis” since they resided in “big bungalows”.

  • RLD is all set to join hands with BJP, almost

    “How can I refuse now?”

Hours after former prime minister Chaudhary Charan Singh, his grandfather, was awarded the Bharat Ratna, RLD leader Jayant Chaudhary announced on Friday that his party, the BJP, would field candidates in Uttar Pradesh for the 2024 Lok Sabha election. When asked to verify the alliance reports, Chaudhary responded that he “could not refuse the offer.” Jayant Chauhary applauded PM Modi’s leadership in the recent act of nominating his grandfather for Bharat Ratna Award.

With this decision, Chaudhary has taken a major step backwards since the RLD was previously in talks for an alliance with the Samajwadi Party (SP). However, it seems that his choice was affected by the recent Bharat Ratna announcement.

Although the RLD and BJP continue to discuss the specifics of their alliance, there are rumors that the RLD may run for two Lok Sabha seats and one Rajya Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh. This ruling may have an effect on the electoral climate in Western Uttar Pradesh, where the RLD has been embraced by the Jat community.

The establishment of the I.N.D.I.A. Alliance by the SP and other regional parties has been hit by Chaudhary’s decision to join the NDA. Akhilesh Yadav, the leader of the SP, had earlier extended an offer to RLD for seven seats in the alliance; however, the Bharat Ratna development appears to have changed the dynamics.

RLD past performance in Uttar Pradesh General Elections

RLD’s performance in the 2022 UP assembly elections (winning 9 seats) suggests its potential, despite the fact that the alliance with the SP produced disappointing results for both parties in the 2019 elections. The assembly polls saw the BJP secure a sizable majority, so the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh are anticipated to be hotly contested. The RLD’s move to join the NDA adds another element to the mix, increasing the uncertainty of the electoral environment.

The complainant stated they never received possession of the shop despite having paid Rs 20 lakh for it.

Asserting that the case was a civil dispute rather than a criminal matter, Jha had challenged the FIR in the High Court. In accordance with Jha’s argument, the High Court dismissed the FIR.

On February 8, 2024, Justice SK Dwivedi issued the directive. The court noted that there was no indication that Jha had committed any crimes and that the disagreement between the parties was solely civil in nature.

The police filed a final report in the case, which stated that no criminal case was made out, and the court took note of this as well. The court declared that the trial court had erred in allowing the case to be taken under its purview based only on the complaint.
