Champai Soren should appoint a Dalit, a Muslim and OBC as Deputy CM in Jharkhand

Amidst the ongoing Jharkhand cabinet expansion, Chief Minister Champai Soren has been asked to appoint a Dalit, a Muslim, and a backward person as Deputy Chief Minister by Kashif Raza, the state president of the Azad Samaj Party Jharkhand.

According to Kashif Raza, the movement that gave rise to Jharkhand Mukti Morcha’s ideology is what made the party possible. If Muslims, Dalits, tribal people, and members of the underprivileged classes do not receive equal representation, it will be evidence that the party has lost sight of its basic principles.

He said that in the last 23 years in Jharkhand, neither did every community get representation in proportion to their population nor did the development of tribals, Dalits, Muslims and backward classes take place, the situation remains the same, more than 90% of the population of Jharkhand is till date fighting for their rights and entitlements.

He also said that Azad Samaj Party is struggling to provide representation to every society at every level and in proportion to their population and to achieve this objective, the party is making the youth and women of Jharkhand aware and giving them political representation.

Protestors were seen with flags of the groups and questions regarding the way government is trying to do bring new laws like MSP which will affect the farmers across the nation. While the farmers from Punjab and Haryana have started marching towards Delhi. Supporters of the movement have protested in Jamshedpur showing their anger and disbelief on the government of India.

Surjeet Singh, member of Azad Samaj Party was also present in the farmer protest held in Jamshedpur. He stated in his speech that if Arjun Munda will not take action then protesters will conduct a massive protest and demand justice from the government.

Also Read: Why are farmers protesting

INTUC Joint General Secretary of Jharkhand, Mahendra Mishra said, “The central government led by Narendra Modi, is working against the poor, labours, farmers and the youth and instead they are constantly helping out their capitalist friends.

Youth, labours and farmers are continuously protesting and for a past several months we have been protesting and then declared that on Feb 16 will be a bandh. You can see how farmers have reached the borders of Delhi and in attempts to stop them the police have been posted along with barricades, nail spikes have been setup along with other methods they are using to keep them away. The farmers are being treated badly and are being subjected to physical harm.

The farmers are requesting but no one is listening to them, youth are jobless but no one is listening. Labour courts have been reduced to 4. So just like that apart from the capitalist and industrialists, the rest of the country is suffering and are in unrest and now people have come to the streets. This protest will keep growing and will be happening all over the country.”

  • Govt Plans to Ban Secure Email Service Proton Mail after Fake Bomb Threat

Govt Plans to Ban Secure Email Service Proton Mail after Fake Bomb Threat

During a meeting of the content blocking committee, a Tamil Nadu police officer stated that they were unable to track down the people who were sending fictitious bomb threats to schools via Proton Mail.

According to information obtained by HT, the Tamil Nadu police requested that the ministry block Proton Mail because they were unable to identify the individuals responsible for a fictitious bomb threat that was sent via the service to thirteen schools in the Chennai region last week.

The newspaper also stated that a nodal officer for the Tamil Nadu police stated yesterday that efforts to track down the offenders’ IP addresses and contact Interpol for assistance were unsuccessful.

It further stated that the officer attended a committee meeting related to Section 69A of the Information Technology Act that was conducted as part of the process of blocking online content.

HT reported that during the meeting, representatives of the IT ministry mentioned that they frequently had trouble getting information on criminal matters from Proton Mail.

The IT ministry had informed Proton, the Swiss software company that provides Proton Mail, about a “potential block,” and the company was thinking about how to collaborate with Indian authorities to find a solution.

What Proton management said after blocking news?

“Blocking access to Proton is an ineffective and inappropriate response to the reported threats. It will not prevent cybercriminals from sending threats with another email service and will not be effective if the perpetrators are located outside of India,” Proton also told HT.

According to Proton’s website, user data for its email service is “protected by strict Swiss privacy laws.”

Proton must also “cooperate with law enforcement agencies on criminal investigations within the framework of Swiss laws and privacy regulations,” as required by Swiss law. This cooperation may involve sending data via Swiss authorities.

Proton also provides cloud storage, password managers, and virtual private networks, or VPNs, as well as other services.
