Patna: After the Jharkhand MLAs were shifted to Hyderabad, the Bihar Congress MLAs have also been sent to Hyderabad. It may be noted that CM Nitish Kumar has to prove his majority in the assembly on February 12. Congress fears that its MLAs may break away during this time, so they have been shifted to Hyderabad.
A meeting of Bihar Congress MLAs was held at the Congress headquarters in Delhi on Saturday, after which it was decided to send the MLAs to Hyderabad. 16 Bihar Congress MLAs have reached Hyderabad. The remaining 3 MLAs will go to Hyderabad later.
It may be recalled that Nitish Kumar took oath as the Chief Minister for the 9th time along with 8 ministers on January 28. Vijay Sinha (Deputy CM), Samrat Chaudhary (Deputy CM), Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Dr. Prem Kumar, Brijendra Prasad Yadav, Sumit Kumar Singh, Santosh Kumar, Shravan Kumar are part of the new cabinet of Nitish Kumar. The election for the new Speaker of the Assembly will be held on February 12.
