Manipuri Musician Chongtham Singh Dies After Assault

A 55-year-old Manipuri musician, Chongtham Vikram Singh, died after being assaulted by a group of delivery workers and dhaba staff outside his home in Delhi's Kilokari village. The incident occurred around 11 pm on Sunday when Singh reportedly confronted the men over loud noise and drinking. The altercation turned violent, and Singh was admitted to Holy Family Hospital in critical condition. Doctors confirmed he died from haemorrhagic shock caused by blunt force trauma. Seven men were arrested, and a juvenile was detained. The Delhi Police assured strict action as protests erupted by the Manipuri community. Singh was a pioneer of rock music in Manipur and had worked as a music teacher in Delhi.
