Suspicion of Infidelity Drives Newlywed Couple to Suicide in Siddipet District

A newlywed couple from Siddipet district died by suicide after marital troubles. Twenty-one-year-old Anjali and Vinay had married on April 9 after a year of courtship. Anjali worked as a tailor, and Vinay did daily labor. They moved to Hyderabad seeking better opportunities.

Their happiness lasted only a month. Vinay grew suspicious of Anjali's frequent phone calls. This led to arguments, and he dropped her at her maternal home on May 7. His doubts increased when her phone was often busy or she answered late. Their quarrels continued.

On May 10, Anjali allegedly hanged herself when no one was home. Vinay learned the news while traveling to his village. Realizing the damage his suspicion caused, he called his parents in tears, told them to be careful, and shared his location. He then hanged himself from a tree. Relatives found him dead.

Police registered a case based on complaints from Anjali's mother and Vinay's father. The investigation is ongoing.
