Dera Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Granted 30-Day Parole, 16th Release Since Conviction

Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, chief of Dera Sacha Sauda, walked out of Sunaria Jail on Tuesday morning after being granted a 30-day parole. This marks his 16th release since his 2017 conviction for raping two women disciples. He is expected to stay at the Dera headquarters in Sirsa but cannot gather followers physically. He may address them virtually during this period.
