Jamshedpur Attack: Man Dies in RIMS Hospital; 2 Arrested, 1 Absconding

In a tragic incident in Jamshedpur, a 35-year-old man from Mango, Mohammad Mumtaz, died during treatment at RIMS hospital in Ranchi. He was critically injured in a violent attack in the Bhalubasa area under Sitamarhi police station on May 10. Several youths attacked him with heavy objects and sharp-edged weapons on his head. He was immediately admitted to TMH hospital in serious condition. His treatment continued in the ICU, but due to his deteriorating health, he was referred to RIMS in Ranchi for better care, where he passed away on Friday morning.

Two accused, Rohit Mukhi and Raju Mukhi, have been arrested in this case. Another accused is currently absconding, and police are conducting raids to apprehend him. The victim's younger brother, Mohammad Faiyaz, filed a named complaint against Rohit Mukhi, Raju Mukhi, and their associates. Faiyaz stated that Mumtaz was the sole earner of the family and the family's financial condition is very weak. Their father, Mohammad Bashir, supports the family by running a cart.

When contacted, the Sitamarhi police station in-charge confirmed that the named accused Rohit Mukhi and Raju Mukhi have been arrested. He also mentioned that one other accused is still at large, and the police are continuously conducting raids to arrest him. The investigation into the case is ongoing.
