Woman and Lover Arrested for Murdering Husband in Sangareddy

A 35-year-old woman and her lover were arrested in Sangareddy for murdering the woman's husband on May 16. The accused, Kalpana and Elgoyi Gani Pandari, killed Muthyam Reddy because they saw him as an obstacle to their extramarital relationship.

Kalpana initially reported her husband as missing to the Narayankhed police on May 16. During the investigation, police discovered Reddy's body buried in a field belonging to Pandari.

The victim was lured to the outskirts of the village, where he was strangulated to death. His body was then buried in a ditch that had been prepared in advance by the accused.

Police exhumed the body on Sunday, May 24. The case was changed from a missing persons report to murder under section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
