Jamshedpur: Driver Arrested in Kapali for Cattle Transportation

On May 9, tension rose near the Kamarigoda Hari Temple in the Kapali area of Saraykela district, close to Jamshedpur. Villagers stopped a vehicle filled with cows and caught the driver. During the incident, the villagers also physically assaulted the driver.

Following a written complaint by Santosh Kumar, a resident of Sonari, police registered a case. The accused, Mohammad Shahid, a resident of Demdubbi Ansar Nagar, was arrested and sent to judicial custody in jail on Tuesday. During questioning, the accused stated that he was transporting cattle from Rayrangpur Bahalda in Odisha to Kapali. After the complaint was filed, police acted quickly, arrested the accused, and sent him to jail.
