Delhi Court Allows Electric Kettle and Wooden Takhat for Tahir Hussain's Medical Needs
A Delhi court permitted former AAP councillor Tahir Hussain to use an electric kettle and wooden takhat in jail on medical grounds. Additional Sessions Judge Sameer Bajpai approved the request after reviewing medical documents supporting Hussain’s need for hot water due to ongoing health issues. The defense highlighted that these items had previously been allowed based on medical recommendations and jail authority approvals. Hussain, arrested in 2020 in connection with the North East Delhi riots case, is among those accused of involvement in a larger conspiracy. His bail plea remains pending before the Delhi High Court under UAPA and other charges.
